Hi.

I'm Ingrid and these are some of my stories, recipes, and other random thoughts, theories, and musings.  I hope you find something you like!

Orange Vanilla Cream Soft Serve

Orange Vanilla Cream Soft Serve

Try this immediately! Well, I mean, once the oranges are frozen.

This one is inspired by the resurgence of the orange creamsicle flavor that I’ve been seeing everywhere—our local ice cream shop, Tillamook limited edition at the store, and apparently even in a Wendy’s Frosty.

Well, I daresay this recipe is better, easier, and way more delicious than all of those. Yes, I’m tooting my own horn, but this is four ingredients, all natural, and so easy. The hardest part is honestly remembering to put the oranges in the freezer ahead of time and then patiently waiting for them to get frozen!

INGREDIENTS:

—3 oranges, peeled and frozen (bonus tip, if you have time to chop the oranges into chunks before freezing, it helps them blend easier!)

—3/4 cup heavy whipping cream (or unsweetened coconut / nut cream for non-dairy)

—3-4 T sugar, to taste

—1 tsp vanilla

DIRECTIONS:

Mix all ingredients in a food processor or high-powered blender on high speed until well blended and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetening to your liking; add more cream for a thinner consistency. Enjoy immediately!

Creamy dreamy

Frosty cool treats! Better than those chain spots down the streets.

One step closer to summertime bliss!

Oranges in the summertime? Trust me, worth it!!!!
